Cooling water system requirements for medium frequency induction furnaces
The cooling parts of the medium frequency induction furnace mainly include furnace induction coils, capacitor banks, power supply thyristor inverters, and the like.
1. Induction coil and capacitor bank cooling water system
The cooling water pressure should be kept at 0.2~0.3MPa, the water temperature should be kept at the inlet water temperature of 20~35°C, and the outlet water temperature should be lower than 55°C. Dew condensation occurs when the temperature of the cooling water is too low, and the cooling capacity is lost when the water temperature exceeds 55 °C. In order to save water, a circulating cooling system is usually used.
2. Intermediate frequency power supply cooling system
The intermediate frequency power supply thyristor cooling water should meet the following conditions: the cooling water pressure should be stably maintained at 0.15 MPa, the water quality should be softened, the hardness is less than P8, the resistance is above 20kΩ, and the insoluble matter in water is less than 0.03mg/L.
In order to ensure the safe use of the medium frequency induction furnace equipment, the cooling water system should implement centralized water supply and return water. The waterway should be equipped with a water pressure alarm device and a water stop alarm device to prevent equipment accidents caused by insufficient water pressure or water cut.
